 2024 is the first-ever National Week Without Driving. Nearly a third of people living in the United States – people with disabilities, young people, seniors and people who can’t afford cars or gas- do not drive.  

 Georgia Bikes’ annual conference, the Georgia Bike-Walk-Live Summit, returns to the metro area this fall. Coming to Decatur October 3-5.

 2024 is the 20th year of IMBA's Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day!  Groups are encouraged to celebrate TKMBD by holding events anytime during the month of October.

The 28th National Walk & Roll to School Day (WR2SD) is an international event celebrated each October. Georgia SRTS programs are designed to make it safe, convenient, and fun for children and their families to walk, roll, and bike to school.  

Donate a bicycle and bike gear and support Bearings Bike Works at the Fall Bike Drive with SouthSide Cycling Club at the Line Creek Brewery in Peachtree City on October 26th. 

Be sure to take the public survey before the end of October and attend the second Fayette County Safety Action Plan Public Meeting in Tyrone on October 28th.
