April 2 - National Walking Day
The American Heart Association created National Walking Day more than a decade ago—to encourage everyone to move more and stress less. a day to celebrate the easiest way to be the healthiest version of you. Walking for thirty to sixty minutes per day may sound like it isn’t much, but studies have shown that it can drastically improve your health.
May 21 - Ride of Silence
The Ride of Silence is a 10-mile free ride. The ride aims to raise the awareness of motorists, police and city officials that cyclists have a legal right to the public roadways. The ride is also a chance to show respect for and honor the lives of those who have been killed or injured. Join us at our annual ride in Peachtree City.
May 3 - Bike Trilith Day
Bike Trilith Day is the first public event to launch the Bike Trilith movement at the Town of Trilith and
surrounding areas. This special day aims to build awareness to biking as a preferred way of transportation. The day will highlight Trilith Foundation’s focus on physical enrichment and creating a movement for people of all ages with family-fun activities. Sign up for free and test ride new bikes. Visit planned exhibits by Fayette County Recreation Department, Atlanta Trek, Pedego PTC, Senoia Bicycle with Specialized Bikes, Trilith Bike Experience, Bike-Walk Fayette, SouthSide Cycling Club, SWAY MTB Club, Bearings Bike Works, and Georgia Safe Routes to School.
May 3- International Women's Mountain Biking Day
International Women's Mountain Biking Day is celebrated annually on the first Saturday in May. This year, Women's MTB Day is on Saturday, May 4th. It's a day for women riders to gather, experience, and share their stoke for mountain biking! Tag your rides with #WomensMTBDay!
May 4 - National Ride a Bike Day
Celebrating National Ride A Bike Day is simple: go for a ride — any ride. Whether it’s a short trip on a bikeshare bike or a double century, any way you choose to ride a bike is the right way to ride a bike. May is National Bike Month, promoted by the League of American Bicyclists and celebrated in communities from coast to coast.
May 7 - Walk Bike & Roll to School Day
Bike & Roll to School Day invites participants to celebrate the joy of active commuting while building a sense of community and school spirit. Of course, they are also fun! Hosted by the National Center for Safe Routes to School.
May 16 - National Bike to Work Day
This is a National Bike Month Event. Bike to Work Week 2025 will take place May 12-18, 2025
June 3 - World Bicycle Day
World Bicycle Day is a day designated by the United Nations in 2018 for member states to celebrate. It's up to each member state to choose how they celebrate it, whether it be a community ride or otherwise. Every day is a great day to ride your bike.
June 7 - June National Trails Day
American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day (NTD), an annual trail awareness program, is an opportunity to celebrate the 200,000+ miles of outdoor trails in our county. Set off on a local trail with others in your community and give back with a trail service project.
July 20 - International Ride MTB Day
Ride MTB Day began in 2017 with one goal in mind – to get more people out on the trails to enjoy the stoke that riding a mountain bike always brings. Since then, July 20th has been recognized around the globe as the International holiday of mountain biking!.
Sept 29 - Oct 5th - Week Without Driving
2025 is the second annual National Week Without Driving. Nearly a third of people living in the United States – people with disabilities, young people, seniors and people who can’t afford cars or gas- do not drive.
October 1 - National Walk & Roll to School Day
The 29th National Walk & Roll to School Day (WR2SD) is an international event celebrated each October. Georgia SRTS programs are designed to make it safe, convenient, and fun for children and their families to walk, roll, and bike to school.
October 4 - Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day
This is the 21st year of IMBA's Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day! Groups are encouraged to celebrate TKMBD by holding events anytime during the month of October. Created in 2004 and recognized by US Congress, TKMBD introduces the joy of mountain biking to the next generation.
October 25 - Bike Drive & Happy Hour
Donate a bicycle and bike gear and support Bearings Bike Works at the Fall Bike Drive with SouthSide Cycling Club at the Line Creek Brewery in Peachtree City on October 25th.
Fall 2025 - Georgia Bike & Walk Summit
This annual event is hosted by Go-Georgia to promote and discuss bicycle and pedestrian safety and issues.
